Mario Paul is Lead Faculty in the Healthcare Management and Healthcare Information Systems Management majors. He teaches courses in Health Care Management, Healthcare Informatics, Community Health, Legal Aspects of Health Care, and Managed Care. Paul earned his M.S.P.H. from Meharry Medical College and his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University. A Health Care Administrator by training, he has had a successful career in the two areas of health care management and health care policy. As a health care administrator, Paul has had many years of direct management experience in hospitals and health organizations. While as a health policy expert, he has served in a wide variety of advisory and consulting capacities to governmental and non-governmental organizations in the United States and abroad. His research interests are in the areas of health disparities, health policy, health behaviors, health care management, and managed care. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Academy for Medical Administrators, American Public Health Association, and the Association of University Programs in Health Administration.
