Dr. Tom Hrubec is the Program Chair for the Business Forensics and Forensic Accounting programs at Franklin. Tom holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Accounting Science from Northern Illinois University and a Doctorate in Education from Illinois State University. His professional credentials include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Tom has over 20 years of experience in teaching and consulting in accounting and accounting education. In 1992, he was the recipient of the Outstanding Accounting Educator Award from the Illinois CPA Society. Prior to coming to Franklin University, Tom was a consultant to Caterpillar, Inc. on their College of Accounting initiative where he designed and developed the web-based course materials to create a complete, organizationally-specific, on-line accounting curriculum to accommodate the educational needs of Caterpillar's worldwide accounting staff.
