Dave Welch serves on the Accounting Faculty at Franklin University. Prior to joining the faculty at Franklin, Dave taught various accounting, finance, and strategic planning courses as an adjunct at the community college and university levels while working full-time in the corporate world. In addition to serving as the Chief Financial Officer at a community bank in Virginia, he has a broad range of practical experience in the corporate world having held managerial positions in the graphic arts industry, physician practice management, automobile dealerships, and bank auditing.

Dave earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration from East Tennessee State University. By mid-2009, he expects to complete his doctoral dissertation on the relative effectiveness of the various federal whistle-blower-protection laws. Being a CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner, Dave has a keen interest in business ethics.
