Financial Management
Joint Programs of Study: Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Financial
Management/MBA (Vantage MBA®) Requirements
150-154 semester hours
The Joint Programs of Study enables students to meet their undergraduate degree requirements by taking selected graduate-level courses. The graduate courses also are credited toward the completion of a master’s degree. The joint programs permit students to complete both degrees in fewer hours than would be required if the programs were taken separately. Students receive a bachelor’s degree upon successful completion of the degree requirements. Upon completion of the graduate degree requirements the student receives a master’s degree.
This joint program enables undergraduate Financial Management students to blend their degree program into a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, affording them the opportunity to complete both degrees in 150-154 semester hours.
Acceptance into one of the undergraduate programs of study at Franklin University does not ensure or guarantee acceptance into a Franklin University graduate program. (MBA admission is contingent upon successful completion of the B.S. degree with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA and completion of work experience requirements). Application for enrollment into the MBA must be submitted two terms prior to commencing graduate level coursework.
Both the undergraduate- and graduate-level residency requirements must be met. A minimum 2.25 cumulative GPA is required in the undergraduate major area, and each undergraduate major area course must be completed with a grade of "C" or better to count toward degree requirements. Likewise, any graduate-level course listed in the undergraduate area may not be counted toward graduation if a grade of "C" or less is earned. Each degree is governed by the major program criteria and academic standards as set forth in the Franklin University Academic Bulletin.
It is recommended that students planning to pursue this program of study meet early in their course of study with the Student Services Associate who acts as the advisor to this program. The following degree requirements are from the current Franklin University Academic Bulletin. If you began your coursework before the current academic year, please contact your SSA for your degree requirements. Always confirm your degree requirements with your SSA.
