Transfer Students - Applying for Aid

These steps have been developed to assist transfer students in obtaining their financial aid at Franklin University. This information pertains to students transferring to Franklin University within a financial aid award year, who have applied for and received Federal or State aid at another institution. Completing all steps outlined will ensure consideration for maximum eligibility. Please note that aid does not transfer from one school to another. You must submit the information indicated below. In addition, if you have loans through your previous institution, you must cancel any future disbursements.

1)  Student Aid Report

If you did not list Franklin on your FAFSA, you may do so in one of the following ways.

  1. Request online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Use your Department of Education PIN to add Franklin's Title IV School Code of 003046.
  2. Call the Federal Processor at 1.800.433.3242
  3. Request Franklin University obtain your SAR electronically

2)  Declaration of Outside Tuition Assistance:

 2008-2009    Complete this form if you expect to receive assistance from any outside resources:

  • Employer Tuition Assistance
  • Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation/PIC/JTPA
  • Veterans Benefits
  • National Guard
  • Ohio Tuition Trust Authority (prepaid tuition plan)
  • Scholarships (expected or received other than through Franklin)
  • Other aid resources that do not include grants or loans

Print out and enter the amount for each trimester and the total for the year. Submit the completed form to the Financial Aid office.
