B.S. in Digital Communication

Franklin was my second college experience. The first time around, I think I was too young and not focused enough to really get what I wanted out of an education. Now, years later, my career is established and I've developed clarity about how a college education can benefit me.

I took classes at Franklin University while working full-time as a Data Administrator and Application Developer for a division of the City of Columbus, Ohio – and I did this while also sharing the responsibility of raising two young children with my wife.

I chose Franklin based on the convenience of the locations and the fact that the classes (and the entire school) are geared toward working adults. I looked at other schools in the area and picked Franklin because it seemed like the best fit for me – especially with my family responsibilities. Being able to take classes on a flexible schedule and focus on my home life was great.

I chose the Digital Communication Major at Franklin because I was able to directly incorporate the curriculum into my everyday work responsibilities. Because of this, I realized the importance of what I was learning and was much more focused than I was during my first college experience. My goal to earn a college degree fit in with my career ambitions, and the knowledge I gained taught me how to sharpen my professionalism.

Franklin really helped me reach the education goals I set for myself so long ago. It was enormously satisfying, both personally and professionally, to finally hold that diploma.
