MBA

I earned my MBA because it was a smart way to give myself more choices and move up in my profession.

As a registered nurse, it’s necessary for me to have an advanced education in order to become a hospital administrator or take on elevated clinical responsibilities. Participating in Franklin’s Vantage MBA® Program even helped my superiors view me differently – while working toward my degree, I received a promotion to a management role.

I chose Franklin because I needed a part-time online MBA program that would work with my job and family responsibilities. Through research, I determined Franklin’s long history and solid relationship with the U.S. Army through GoArmyEd proved it had a good reputation. I certainly didn’t want to get an education that would be a waste of time and money because it wasn’t respected!

Now that I’ve graduated, I can see how effective the learning process was and why Franklin is so esteemed. I definitely learned to think differently, more strategically. The Vantage MBA Program taught me to look at a large organization, such as a hospital, and see how my role fit into the big picture as part of a broader concept.

Receiving my degree was an exercise in discipline. My wife and two young children are thrilled to have me spend more time with them rather than parked in front of the computer. I now have more time for reading and sports and can allow my wife to focus on being a student. She is enrolled in Franklin’s Healthcare Management Major.

Best of all, I enjoy applying the knowledge I gained from this Program and I’m looking forward to where it will take me in the future. I know one thing for sure: earning an MBA is one of the smartest things I’ve done for my career.
