Personal and professional development is an integral part of my life. In all things, I strive for excellence, and I take strides daily to reach my personal best. As the Manager of Store Operations for Limited Brands, a world fashion industry leader, I set the pace for each of the brand store managers I work with.

I am passionate about my job. I've been with Limited Brands for more than 11 years. The company has offered me many opportunities for advancement and they continue to invest in me as a valued member of the team. Two years ago, I was promoted to my multi-faceted leadership role at the home office in Columbus. I quickly realized that I needed to grow my business knowledge, expand my leadership skill set, and learn to network within the fashion industry. I knew earning my MBA from Franklin University would give me the tools I needed to become an effective leader and coach, and to encourage a desire for self-improvement in others. So, I decided to earn my MBA with a focus in Executive Coaching.

I originally chose Franklin because of the convenience of the Program, but I stayed for the tremendous classroom experience. With Franklin's Balanced Learning Format, I only had to attend class one night a week. I could then maintain a consistent level of work outside of class on my own time, without disrupting my entire life. The faculty regularly incorporated scenarios and role-playing into class sessions, teaching me how to apply key concepts at work. I found them to be passionate about student development, and eager to stimulate student career growth.

Although pursuing my master's degree required time, dedication and effort, Franklin's manageable Program allowed me to put my family first. Halfway through the Program my extremely supportive husband, Don, and I were blessed with our first child, Collin. While juggling my career, my family and my school responsibilities, my daily to-do lists filled very quickly! But thanks to my husband, my supportive employer and the continual help of the Franklin University staff, I was able to finish the Program despite my hectic schedule.

Getting my MBA was a big decision, but it was well worth it. I've made an investment in myself, and I will take skills learned with me for the rest of my life. Best of all, I can use those skills to help others, both at work and in my personal life. No matter where life takes me, doors will open because of my Franklin education.
