Why did you decide to earn your MBA?
Once I realized that fewer than 15% of the people in my company have a four-year degree, I immediately saw the potential for me to advance at my company. As I started looking further into the programs, I realized an MBA would give me an even greater advantage. Working toward earning my MBA has already given me a boost in my company and complemented my career path.
Tell us how what you're learning relates to your profession.
The MBA Program has provided me with an arsenal of management tools. I can supervise people more effectively and have learned the importance of listening rather than talking. My goal is to apply the business strategies I'm learning and work my way up to a high-level position. Franklin has truly provided me with a platform for success.
Any thoughts about the Vantage MBA Program?
I love the enthusiasm of the instructors! They truly care about the individual and are concerned that each student gets what he or she needs out of the program. It can be challenging to really get to know a person in an online environment, but the chat rooms and announcement pages allow you to become familiar with your instructors and classmates. It's neat to be able to form these relationships online and relate to one another. The networking has been great!
What was your overall experience with Franklin?
I was concerned that being a long-distance student would be inconvenient, but it's been a pleasure. The staff and faculty are very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Franklin to anyone who needs the flexibility of online learning, coupled with a challenging program. You have to be disciplined, but you can't beat the convenience!
