It took an immense amount of personal discipline, a lot of support from my husband, a highly encouraging employer, and the cushion of time provided by the naps that my two young children took every afternoon to do it – but Franklin made it all possible. In order to successfully handle work, family, and the rigors of the Vantage MBA® Program, I depended on Franklin’s well-structured teaching format and flexible class schedule to help me make my dreams come true. I found Franklin after completing my associate’s degree. Knowing that I wanted to learn more, to stretch my thinking and help make a better life for my family and me, I chose to keep moving ahead to earn a bachelor’s degree. Why not? I already had the study skills in place, but I needed a way to learn that wouldn’t disrupt my work and family. I did my research and discovered that Franklin’s Accounting Major was also available online. It was the perfect way for me to get my degree while continuing to work for the company I’d been with since 1998. Once I really got into the Accounting curriculum, I realized that I wanted to push myself to earn my CPA certification. So I chose to earn my bachelor’s degree and my MBA through Franklin’s Joint Programs of Study. This meant that some of my undergraduate classes were taught at the master’s level, so I completed both degrees faster than if I had earned them separately. I saved time and money. Still, the biggest selling point for me was that I could chose to take some Vantage MBA Program courses that satisfied the CPA preparation coursework required by the State of Ohio. I love what I learned. In both my Undergraduate and Graduate classes, I learned things that taught me to see the world – and myself! – through more sophisticated and appreciative eyes. Because of Franklin’s online education, I have the tools available to transform myself and my career. |
