MBA

Anyone who is in business today knows that a standard education becomes obsolete very quickly in today’s global economy. That’s why I pursued my MBA – so I could incorporate the latest business knowledge into my technology-related profession.

As Project Manager for Nationwide Insurance, I work with initiatives integrating technology applications into business. In addition to leading a high-performing team of professionals, my responsibilities include interfacing with clients, writing and presenting proposals, and working with top-level project executives. As you can imagine, I need good communication skills in order to determine client needs, and clearly convey my suggestions for how to proceed.

The Vantage MBA® Program helped me do this more effectively. By providing me with a broader perspective of how technology influences all segments of the industry, the coursework refined my understanding of what’s involved for stakeholders at the highest levels, as well as how to best give management directives to subordinates.

As a previous business owner, I know that if I’d had the knowledge then that I have now, I could have magnified the results of my efforts by not just working hard, but by truly working smart!

Because time management is my greatest challenge, as it is for many busy professionals, I especially appreciated the fact that Franklin’s balanced approach to learning helped me accomplish my education goals and still have time with my family, including my son. He kept me in line by making sure that when I was reading a book, it is one of his books with him on my lap, not one of my school books!

My wife was very supportive of my devotion to both work and school. In fact, she pushed me toward earning my MBA and helped me determine that Franklin was the best choice because of its excellent reputation and flexibility in scheduling.

Because of Franklin’s Vantage MBA Program, I am able to keep my priorities straight. I’ve advanced my career without losing sight of what’s really important to me – my family.
