Applied Management Student
Why did you choose Franklin University?
I earned my associate’s degree from a very large online university based outside of Ohio. However, since I live and work in Columbus, I wanted to finish my bachelor’s degree at a local school that employers would know and respect.
How do you feel about being an adult student?
Being an adult student requires an ability to maintain balance between my family, personal, and professional life. As a busy, working mother of three, I needed a program that worked with my schedule. With Franklin’s online classes, I can still travel for work, and even make it to my kids’ softball and soccer games.
Any thoughts about online learning?
My online class is there whenever I have the time — whether it’s 30 minutes or three hours! But if I want in-classroom instruction, I can still get it. Franklin provides me with the option to switch back and forth between online and on-campus classes for subjects that I find more difficult to take online such as Accounting.
What is your overall experience with Franklin?
My experience with Franklin has been very positive. I honestly have no complaints! My classes are challenging, but not so hard that my instructors and classmates can’t share their knowledge to help me succeed. The skills I’m learning in all my classes — especially Project Management — have already helped me succeed with taking on new projects at work.
Any words of advice for future Franklin students?
For a quality education that suits your schedule needs, Franklin is the place to be! If you are a busy person and want to move ahead in your career by earning your degree, I would highly recommend Franklin University!
