”Dr. Szakaly brings more than 30 years of experience and relationships with many Indiana organizations, and he has a passion for ensuring that students in Indiana have access to higher education to better prepare them for the ever-changing needs of the workplace,” said Dr. David Decker, president of Franklin University of Ohio. “It is because of his knowledge and drive that we are confident he is the right choice to lead Franklin University’s newest location.”
In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations for Franklin University’s new Indianapolis location, Szakaly will work to form partnerships with other university colleagues, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, industry and community leaders and other regional partners, to positively impact the citizens of Indiana.
“I’m a proponent of continuous learning and I encourage those around me to become lifelong learners,” said Dr. Szakaly. “So when Franklin University offered me the opportunity to launch and lead the new Indianapolis location, I was thrilled to become part of such a well-respected organization.”
