Circulation Team Coordinator

Franklin University has a full-time permanent position available in our library working 40 hours per week. This position provides services to our students, staff, and faculty. Hours will be flexible with and may require occasional nights and weekends.

The Circulation Team Coordinator supervises the operation of the Circulation Desk in the Library and directly supervises four student employees who work in the department.  In addition, the Circulation Team Coordinator performs daily tasks within Millennium (the Library’s integrated library system) and runs various reports for statistical records.  Creation of the Library schedule is a critical responsibility in this position as well as hiring, training and supervision of the six-member Circulation Team.  Ordering office supplies and tracking internal work-orders are also required.  Working collegially with the Marketing department, Business Office, International Student Services Office, as well as other departments within the University and OhioLINK is also required.  The Circulation Team Coordinator also is the first in line to handle any customer inquiries concerning fines or replacement costs for lost items.  This position assists the Acquisitions/Serials Librarian with interlibrary loan (ILL) requests as well as serials check-in and claiming and reports directly to the Public Services Librarian.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, innovative ideas, and have demonstrated problem solving skills. Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as being able to work within a multi-tasked team environment are required. The ideal candidate must be proficient with the Internet and Microsoft Office with an intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Word and Excel. While not required, the ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience.
