Computer Science Adjunct Faculty

Franklin seeks applicants for part-time faculty positions to teach face to face face and on line classes in our Computer Science program.  The University promotes a student-centered, quality-teaching environment; focused on working adults.  Founded in 1902, Franklin University has been the leading educator of nontraditional students in central Ohio and enjoys the strong support of the local business community.

Instructors are needed for several basic applications courses teaching spreadsheets and databases using Microsoft Office products.  Minimum qualification is a master’s degree in the field of technology, computer science, IT, MIS or a related discipline.  A Microsoft Office Specialist Certification is preferred, along with demonstrated use of Access, Excel and web publishing programs.

Instructors are also needed for the introductory programming sequence, in which Java is the teaching language.  Along with object-oriented concepts and basic programming principles, those courses also focus on test-driven development and design patterns.  Minimum qualifications include a master's degree in computer science, as well as teaching experience and significant Java programming experience.  Courses are offered in both face-to-face and online formats.
