Dean, College of Business
Franklin University is seeking a Dean for its College of Business. The College comprises the Division of Accounting and Finance, the Division of Graduate Business Studies, and the Ross School of Management and Leadership. The University is seeking an innovative and entrepreneurial candidate who has academic leadership experience, a commitment to continuous quality improvement, and a desire to contribute to a rapidly growing institution.
Founded in 1902, Franklin University is a private, non-profit institution and leader in online learning. Franklin serves over 10,000 students annually with 19 undergraduate fields of study and three graduate programs. The University offers classes at four locations in Ohio, with its main campus located in downtown Columbus. Metropolitan Columbus has a population of 1.7 million.
The Dean of the College of Business will provide leadership for the College in support of the University’s strategic directions, promoting and supporting the vision and mission of Franklin both internally and to external constituencies. The Dean will report to the University’s Provost and will oversee academic quality within the College, provide guidance and support for Division Chairs and faculty, and act as a key advisor to the Provost.
Required for the position are an earned doctorate, academic leadership experience, an appreciation for the value of scholarship and community service, and a commitment to collaborative and collegial relationships. Experience leading academic programs in multiple locations and online is desirable.
