Financial Aid Compliance & Training Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities
Franklin University is seeking an individual to oversee training and compliance in the Financial Aid Office. This includes researching and monitoring state and federal regulations, developing and implementing compliance testing, training staff, updating and testing procedures, and other duties assigned. This person will have in-depth knowledge in the financial aid profession including verification, calculating awards, return of Title IV funds, professional judgment, cash management, and standards of progress.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience in student financial aid, excellent organizational and analytical skills, knowledge of financial aid compliance requirements, strong counseling and training skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate will also be computer literate and possess a Bachelor’s Degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized financial systems required; Datatel Colleague experience is a plus. Proven attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of activity, along with the ability to exercise sound judgment in considering individual circumstances is a must. Knowledge of accounting principles and any technical background, including writing queries is preferred.
