General Science Faculty

Franklin University is an independent, not-for-profit, metropolitan university located in Columbus, Ohio.  We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time faculty member in our General Education Program.   The General Science Faculty role has responsibility for providing leadership to adjunct faculty and for course development and management of face to face and online courses across various natural science disciplines.  The position also requires additional responsibilities including university service, teaching, and development of community relationships.

This faculty position requires that the candidate hold a Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution and be broadly prepared in a natural science discipline, preferably with a focus area(s) in biology, chemistry, earth or environmental science.  This position requires a science generalist who can manage and develop courses across the natural sciences disciplines.  Applicants are also required to have teaching experience at the college- or university-level and be able to adapt and work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.  Successful candidates must be able to communicate and work effectively with students, staff, and adjunct faculty.  This is a 12-month faculty position at a non-tenure granting institution.
