Learning Resources Coordinator
Franklin University is seeking a dynamic, innovative individual with a strong commitment to academic excellence who is committed to enhancing the delivery of services of the Student Learning Center to our students.
The primary responsibilities of this position include a principal focus on the development, implementation and assessment of our Academic Success Workshops and Structured Learning Assistance programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in program development and assessment. This position has the opportunity to facilitate innovations based on student needs within these areas through collaboration with faculty, departments and academic administration.
The Learning Resources Coordinator will also be responsible for collaborating with the SLC Specialists to provide guidance and administrative support to the testing related functions of the department as needed. As with all SLC positions, the LRC will be required to support the day to day operations of the department and other initiatives as appropriate. The ideal candidate will also have a commitment to providing excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
As a critical member of the department, the individual would be expected to have a clear and demonstrated knowledge of the functional areas within the department, and be able to make decisions in the absence of the coordinators in those areas.
Required Qualifications:
• A master’s degree in a related field • Experience of 1 to 2 years in higher education administration or related field • Excellent written and interpersonal communication, computer and customer service skills • Demonstrated ability to identify, define and evaluate problems and create appropriate long term and immediate strategies and solutions • Must be a self-starter capable of results and goal oriented thinking
The successful candidate must be able to work both as part of a team as well as independently, possess excellent communication skills and be able to manage time effectively. This position requires working at least one night per week until 8:00 p.m. and approximately one Saturday per month.
