Philosophy and/or College Writing Adjunct Faculty
We are establishing an applicant pool of adjuncts interested in supplementing their income and training to teach part-time face-to-face and/or online Philosophy and/or College Writing. The courses will be HUMN 210 (Introduction to Logic and Critical Thinking Skills), HUMN 211 (Introduction to Ethical Analysis and Reasoning), PHIL 345 (Philosophy of Science), and/or COMM 120 (College Writing).
The candidate would be expected to begin teaching after successfully taking a six-week on-line faculty development course required for all adjuncts at Franklin. A minimum of a (regionally accredited) Masters Degree in Philosophy/English or in a related field (stressing clear and logical writing, problem solving and critical thinking skills) is required. Significant and relevant professional work experience is preferred.
