Programmer/Analyst


The University Information Systems department at Franklin University seeks a self-motivated, logical minded programmer/analyst to join the collaborative, dynamic team responsible for providing and maintaining ERP, database, document imaging, and reporting services to the university.


Brief Job Description:
This team-oriented programmer/analyst position is responsible for maintaining and designing applications within the university’s ERP system (Datatel’s Colleague), and our Business Intelligence tool (IBI’s WebFocus), customizations to both the preceding systems, as well as interfaces between these systems and the university’s other academic and administrative systems. This position will take part in design and requirements gathering as well as developing solutions and executing complete test plans.

Essential Technical Skills:
• Expertise in one or both of the following areas:
  - Datatel Colleague Envision programming, Unibasic/Uniquery, Colleague Studio, and WebAdvisor
  - WebFocus Developer Studio (7.6.7 or later) Focus language, Dashboard Builder, and other IBI components
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Experience with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Unidata


Required Education/Experience:
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or 3 or more years programming experience
