Academic Advisor – Westerville

Franklin University has a position available for a part-time Academic Advisor to join our team, which serves nearly 10,000 students annually. The Academic Advisor is empowered to mentor and advise students through achieving their personal, professional and educational goals.

The Academic Advisor will drive success within student services through new student registration and retention of Franklin's student body.

This advising position will specifically serve students at our Westerville location and act as our primary staff member at the Westerville facility. The Academic Advisor would work closely with our Suburban Locations Operations Manager to ensure that all constituent needs are being met. This position will work 32 hours a week Monday through Thursday with an occasional Friday. Work schedule will vary based on the course times, but hours will consist of one day a week from 11:00am to 7:00pm and three days a week from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

The ideal candidate will have previous higher education experience in advising and demonstrate a commitment to student development and student success. Successful experience with coaching and mentoring are required. This person will also work collaboratively in a team environment with University staff and faculty. In addition, a candidate demonstrating successful interpersonal, technology, communication, and organizational skills is preferred. A Bachelor's degree is required.
