Accounting and Finance Tutor

Franklin University’s Student Learning Center (SLC) seeks energetic, dependable, flexible, self motivated candidates for the position of Accounting and Finance  Tutor at the Student Learning Center. The SLC is looking to add qualified tutors to the staff of professional and peer tutors.

General requirements: Flexibility to tutor in-person and online environments is desired. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have a demonstrated proficiency in the intended subject area. Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.

Subject-area requirements:

• Knowledge of introductory accounting and finance principles.
• Recording transactions, adjusting balances, preparing financial statements according to established rules and procedures.
• Cash, receivables, inventory, long-lived assets, depreciation, payroll, bonds, liabilities, stocks.
• Cost behavior, cost-analysis, profit planning and control measures.

Hours: Potential of up to 20 hours per week. Evening (Monday-Thursday) and Saturday availability required.
