Business Office Specialist

Franklin University has a full-time position available for a Business Office Specialist to respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounts receivables including but not limited to student accounts receivables.  The duties include; answering questions related to student account balances via phone and/e-mail, applying payments, charges, or adjustments to student’s accounts, processing book vouchers, letters of credit, deferment applications, military discount applications, employee tuition benefits, and community college and education alliance discount applications, creating vouchers for student refunds and running the credit balance process, creating invoices and processing payments for third parties, processing receivable vendor payments, updating Military Benefit Lists for invoicing, updating restrictions on student accounts weekly, and managing sponsor billing process from registration to invoicing.

Individual should be conscientious, detail-oriented, self-motivated and proactive, while enjoying multitasking in a fast paced environment.  Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Other duties or special projects as needed may be assigned.

The successful candidate will have at least one year experience in accounting. Experience in Colleague/Datatel Software is preferred.  Excellent organizational and analytical skills, oral and written communication, and customer service skills (working with internal and external customers) are a must.

The ideal candidate will also be computer literate, with proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel.  Proven attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of activity is a must
