Community Outreach Work Study Assistant

Franklin University has a Community Outreach opportunity tutoring at the Africentric Early College.  This position will concentrate on assisting fourth and fifth grade students in the areas of Math and Science. The purpose will be to better prepare the students for proficiency testing.

Africentric – Hours available will depend on candidate’s schedule, as well as school hours. The ideal candidate will work 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9 am-3:30 pm.

Candidate must: have excellent people skills; enthusiasm for helping children; a respectful attitude; be creative and enthusiastic when covering lesson plans and reading selected books; have excellent reading skills and willingness to share your love of learning; be dependable and prompt; and be able to work independently and follow direction of supervising teacher.

All candidates must be current Franklin students, and have Federal Work Study eligibility.
