ERP Systems Administrator

Franklin University has a full-time position available as an ERP System Administrator. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, administering, and maintaining university databases and data warehouse. Administers database and assists in setting up ERP user accounts. Responsible for the planning, maintenance, and development support of the university's ERP software environment. Oversees and documents the university's data architecture. Provides support as needed.

  • Monitor emerging technologies, product developments, and patches.
  • Work as part of a team of programmers supporting the administrative computer systems and the systems with which they interface including moving developed code into development, test, and production.
  • User account creation and modifications related to reporting, databases, and the ERP.
  • Miscellaneous end user support related to ERP. (Printing, file access, etc.)
  • Maintain currently customized code, design, document, and implement software solutions to meet the ever changing and growing demands of the university.
  • Assess the university's tool-set to identify the appropriate technology solution.
    Provide service desk support to our user community.
  • Administration and support of Microsoft SQL databases and related systems. (SQL jobs, SSRS, SSIS, etc.)
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues when required.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Microsoft SQL and Unidata server technologies.
  • Demonstrate function knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

We seek someone with a BA/BS in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years' experience in programming. Ideal candidates will have previous working experience in higher education. Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of project management methodologies and application programming in regards to database and system design. Must demonstrate understanding of network topologies and virtualization of technologies. Must demonstrate sound communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse teams at all levels of staff and management, and effectively articulates abstract ideas; s/he must work well in a complex, multi-tasking environment. . Must also be self-directed, flexible, analytical, and results oriented. The ability to adapt to a changing environment, to prioritize, and to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm and innovation in a collaborative team environment is also required.
