Healthcare Management Lead Faculty
Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full time Faculty member for our Healthcare Management Programs. Currently Healthcare Management consists of two majors: Allied Healthcare Management and Healthcare Management. This individual will work in an environment focused on teaching primarily working adults. Responsibilities include teaching courses across the healthcare majors, oversight of courses across the Program, along with hiring, mentoring, and managing adjunct faculty. Other responsibilities include scheduling and staffing of courses, and University service/committee work. Faculty members work in collaboration with instructional designers, practitioners in the field, our in-house multi-media group and peers to create adult-centered active-learning courses. Research is not required, but is supported.
The Healthcare Management faculty position requires a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, a related field of study, or a doctoral degree with significant working experience in the healthcare field. Sufficient progress toward completion of a doctoral degree in Health Administration, Health Economics, Health Finances, Health Policy or Healthcare Quality, Informatics, and Public Health will also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree and managerial experience in health related areas. The ideal candidate will possess competencies through education, teaching, or experience in the following areas: Healthcare Finance and Economics; Healthcare Management; Healthcare Outcomes Management; Informatics; Health Policy; Healthcare Law and Ethics, Public Health and Strategic Management. Academic experience teaching related courses at a college or university and curriculum development experience are highly preferred.
