Library Work Study Assistant – Circulation Desk
The Library Work Study Assistant - Circulation Desk provides administrative, clerical, and circulation support to assist Franklin University Library patrons. Duties include, but are not limited to: assist patrons check materials in and out through the library system; perform open and close procedures; maintain and process work related to OhioLINK; answer telephones; schedule meeting rooms; assist patrons in locating materials; and troubleshoot library equipment including printers and faxes.
Hours are flexible and will vary depending on the candidate’s availability and the workload of the department. The ideal candidate will be able to work 20-25 hours a week, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8-5, with a possibility of some evenings and weekend hours.
Candidate must: be proficient with internet and e-mail; have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products; be ability to multi-task; have strong problem-solving skills; be able to work independently and be self-directed; have strong attention to detail; outstanding customer service skills; strong administrative skills; and excellent organizational skills.
All candidates must be current Franklin students, and have Federal Work Study eligibility.
