Office of Military & Veteran Affairs Work-Study Assistant
The Office of Military and Veteran Affairs Work Study Assistant provides administrative support for Veteran programs, services, and activities managed by the Academic Advisors and Supervisory staff. Duties include, but are not limited to: conducting student outreach; assisting with the process of Veteran Affairs (VA) benefit certification; maintaining VA tracking systems; filing; scanning preparation; managing data reports; and research requests.
Hours of work will vary depending on the candidate’s availability and the workload of the department. The ideal candidate will be able to work 20-25 hours a week, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8-5.
Candidate must: be detail oriented; dependable; able to multi-task; proficient with Microsoft Office products; have strong communication and problem solving skills; and be able to work with highly confidential documents. Military, veteran, and military spouses/dependents are encouraged to apply.
All candidates must be current Franklin students, and have Federal Work Study eligibility.
