Part-Time Welcome Center Associate
Franklin University has a part-time, 20 hour per week position available as a Welcome Center Associate. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday with flexibility to work either from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. depending on the needs of the department and will also include occasional weekend hours on select Saturdays. Flexibility in available hours is also needed to cover vacation for other staff members and during peak registration periods.
This role will provide the highest level of customer service to Franklin students in a face-to-face atmosphere. The Welcome Center Associate has a direct impact on the student experience, and acts as an ambassador for the University to potential and current students. The Welcome Center Associate reflects Franklin’s student-centered philosophy by treating each individual as a VIP, greeting and interacting with visitors, and ensuring questions are fully answered and clearly communicated. This individual is the face of Franklin, working amicably with a diverse student body and handling multiple tasks in a poised, positive, and personable demeanor.
We seek someone who is people-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is able to work independently in an extremely fast-paced environment on multiple tasks simultaneously. In addition, the part-time Welcome Center Associate must be highly proficient in current technologies including, but not limited to, Microsoft applications, have prior experience entering data and documenting communications, and have the aptitude to learn additional programs. The selected individual must also be able to deal with confidential student information in an appropriate manner. A minimum of one year of college is preferred.
