Print Services Work Study Assistant

The Purchasing/Mail/Print Services Work Study Assistant will assist the Director of Purchasing in a variety of roles that includes, but is not limited to:  assisting with the design, development and production of printed materials,  working in conjunction with Marketing Department designers to produce high quality printed materials, learn the operations of digital printing equipment, maintain data in the Department’s print shop management software, learn various aspects of digital design production and inventory, work with internal and external customers to best meet their print needs, and assist other department personnel as needed to ensure high levels of operations.

? Communicate with internal and external customers
? Learn to utilize the capabilities of InDesign, Fiery Command Work Station , Photo Shop and other design and print related software packages
? Collects and organizes information for reporting
? Assist with other tasks related to department operations
? Provides routine status updates to Director of Purchasing

Hours are flexible and will vary depending on the candidate’s availability. The ideal candidate will be able to work 20-25 hours a week, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9-5.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with customer service and the Microsoft Office suite, as well as proficiency with internet, e-mail, and other forms of electronic communication.  Prior experience with InDesign and other digital print design software is preferred.  The ability to work independently and multi-task, as well as excellent written and verbal skills is essential.

All candidates must be current Franklin students, and have Federal Work Study eligibility.
