Franklin University is seeking a Staff Accountant to work with information related to the general ledger and financial records. Duties for this position will include identifying and retrieving daily cash needs, reconciliation of bank accounts, maintaining official accounting records in conformance with GAAP and higher education standards, preparing and posting monthly journal entries, financial statements and account analysis. This person will work with the Assistant Director of Accounting on various projects to assure the timely and accurate effectiveness of the office.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast paced environment. Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel is a must. A bachelor's degree with three to four years relevant accounting experience required.
