Student Learning Center Work Study Assistant
The Student Learning Center Work Study Assistant provides front desk and administrative support in the Student Learning Center, and assists the full-time staff with special projects. Duties include, but are not limited to: greeting students; answering phones; responding to e-mails; making and confirming tutoring appointments; completing workshop registrations; copying and filing; preparation for large mailings; completing daily mail runs; data entry; collecting and organizing internship opportunities; preparing statistical information; creating visual materials (charts, etc.); and distributing promotional material
Hours are flexible and will vary depending on the candidate’s availability and the workload of the department. The ideal candidate will be able to work 20-25 hours a week, Monday-Friday, with some evening and Saturday availability.
Candidate must be or have: detail oriented, dependable, proficient with Microsoft Office products, experienced with e-mail and internet, able to multi task, outstanding customer service skills, effective communication skills, a team player, problem solving skills, and excellent organizational skills.
All candidates must be current Franklin students, and have Federal Work Study eligibility.
