Dublin, OH —
Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Last Chance for the Boston race on Sunday, February 26 in Dublin, Ohio. A member of the Dublin community since 1995, Franklin’s Dublin location serves students through on site and online courses in a variety of majors.
In addition to its sponsorship of the event, Franklin has a number of faculty and staff participating in the race. Four relay teams consisting of Franklin staff and faculty will participate, with one relay member going the extra mile…26 miles. Paul Carringer, a Franklin graduate and adjunct in the Franklin Master of Science in Marketing & Communication program, will run the 26-mile course in addition to participating in one of the University’s teams. An avid runner, Carringer has completed over 120 marathon or longer races. He has also served as a Pace Team Leader in the St. Louis Marathon, Miami ING Marathon, and seven consecutive ING New York City Marathons.
In October, Franklin also demonstrated its commitment to the Dublin community when it celebrated the renovation of the University’s Dublin location at 495 Metro Place South. With renovations complete, the University’s Dublin location now houses 15 classrooms and features amenities that include computer labs, on-campus advising, and a testing center. As part of the impressive remodeling project, computers were added to each classroom, two study areas were created, environmental graphics were installed, and the student lounge was updated – all part of the University’s mission to better serve Franklin’s students and help them achieve their academic goals.
Franklin understands that completing a degree often is like running a marathon...long, time consuming, challenging, but worth every bit of effort for working adults who often have to balance earning a degree with family and career obligations.About Franklin University
