Columbus, OH —

Franklin University is proud to announce the formal signing of a global educational partnership with Universidad Cuauhtémoc in Aguascalientes, Mexico.  The agreement, signed this week, provides UCA students with the opportunity to earn Franklin’s Global Master of Business Administration (GMBA) degree without having to leave the country.

The signing of the agreement is the culmination of intensive collaboration throughout the year in which Franklin University assessed and endorsed UCA’s guidelines of quality and professionalization. With the agreement in place, UCA will become the first Latin American university to launch a dual degree program with Franklin University.

Recently, UCA obtained Ministry of Education accreditation for this master's degree making it possible to issue a local diploma for students.  Courses will be taught by professors trained and certified by Franklin University. The Global MBA program focuses on investigating the functional areas of business through finance, marketing, administration, and examining organizational, legal, economic, cultural and political factors.

“The collaboration and partnership between Franklin University and UCA is an important achievement in strengthening ties with the two countries as well as providing greater opportunities for students looking to elevate their skillsets for the global marketplace as well as make an impact on local economic development,” said Andy Igonor, Dean of the Ross College of Business at Franklin University.

Today’s announcement further solidifies the role Franklin University's academic programs play in redefining the term "global" in reference to educational access, academic quality, and global sustainability. Through collaborating agreements such as the agreement with UAG, Franklin University services the educational needs of international students around the world.
