Columbus, Ohio -  Franklin University, a leading educator of working adults, is pleased to announce the addition of a new Applied Psychology major to its on-campus and online offerings beginning in Fall 2009.  In this new major, students will learn to apply positive psychology methods to assessment, intervention planning, coaching and mentoring, and evaluating organizational change programs.

Psychology is a field of study with broad professional and personal applications.  By providing an Applied Psychology major focusing on the development of individuals within organizations that includes business-related studies in the major area of course work, Franklin provides an advantage for students interested in employment in business and organizational settings.  An undergraduate major in Applied Psychology also prepares students for careers in human service professions and readies students for admission to graduate and professional schools.

Earning a degree in Applied Psychology offers broad life-application opportunities in any industry and lays a solid foundation for graduate school.
