The Change Leadership Symposium will explore a number of topics within the structure of the greater change process currently in existence by seeking to build a holistic comprehension that integrates leading-edge thinking about change processes.
The symposium will include two breakout sessions:
Breakout #1: Building an Innovative Culture
Today’s leaders need to become more attentive to the role an organization’s culture performs in influencing performance. The interaction between leadership, culture, and performance shows a significant linkage between these three organizational variables. Ideally, leaders will develop and work with an adaptive or innovative culture that allows continuous organizational transformation change and innovation. This session will highlight the relationship of transformational leadership and an innovative culture with a focus on the elements necessary to facilitate a culture of true innovation. This active discussion will be led by Dr. Tim Reymann.
Breakout #2: Articulating a Compelling Vision
Successful change efforts attain alignment around a common understanding of where the organization is Going - a “shared vision.” Unfortunately, this is often easier said than done. In this session, led by Dr. Ross Wirth, various techniques for moving to a shared vision will be discussed, along with characteristics of an effective vision. The discussion will conclude with insights on how the vision might adapt over time to changing conditions.
