Franklin University CFO Named Finalist

—

Columbus, Ohio –Franklin University is proud to announce Marv Briskey, Chief Financial Officer, has been named a finalist in this year’s Columbus Business First CFO of the Year program.  The annual program honors financial professionals in Central Ohio for outstanding performance in their roles as financial stewards at profit-making and nonprofit enterprises.

Higher education has become an increasingly competitive marketplace that requires judicious fiscal responsibility and planning.  This level of competitive expansion coupled with a struggling economy makes the job of a higher education CFO challenging at best.  Marv Briskey has earned his place as a finalist in this year’s CFO of the Year program for his dedication to ensuring Franklin’s financial stability and efforts to financially position the University for continued success.

This year’s winners will be announced at the Sept. 13 Hyatt Regency Columbus luncheon, where Chrysler Group LLC Chairman Robert Kidder will serve as keynote speaker. Kidder will speak on the topic of Building a Great Chrysler...Takes a Great CFO! Anyone who thinks it's “Car Guys versus Bean Counters” is wrong!  Great CFO’s help build great (car) companies.  Winners will also be featured Sept. 16 in the print edition of Columbus Business First.
