Columbus, Ohio - On Tuesday, December 15, 2009, Franklin University will host the next session in a series of Change Leadership Symposiums that bring together organization and community leaders working on change initiatives. This diverse group of process leaders will work together to create a knowledge sharing network of transformers that united will create a greater level of change.

The Change Leadership Symposium will examine a number of issues within the framework of the greater change process already underway by seeking to build a holistic understanding that incorporates leading edge thinking about change processes.
Breakout # 1: Understanding Change From the Perspective of Complexity Science Most people have some familiarity of complexity science through hearing about the "butterfly effect," "tipping point," and "edge of chaos." This breakout session will work toward an understanding of these phrases, and focusing on how complexity science provides guidance for leading change.
Breakout #2: Performance Improvement: Building a High-Performance Organization Organizations often focus primarily on financial metrics to assess performance. However, there is increasing realization that success comes from a consensus on strategy; alignment of goals & objectives across the organization; sufficient feedback and information to establish goals and objectives; and the competency to develop a long-term competitive strategy. This breakout session will discuss methods for integrating customer processes, organizational learning, and assessment necessary for successful performance.
