COLUMBUS – Dr. David R. Decker, President, Franklin University made the following statement today regarding the death of Chief Justice Thomas J. Moyer:

“Chief Justice Thomas J. Moyer will be sadly missed by the members of the Franklin University community and by those who benefited from the wisdom of his leadership.  His tireless dedication to his duties as a member of our Board of Trustees is surpassed only by the meticulous nature of his legal reasoning.”

“We offer our sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Chief Justice Moyer and are deeply saddened by this sudden loss.  The Franklin University Board of Trustees, and the Academic Affairs Committee on which he served, will work to continue the nearly 30 years of leadership and dedication to broader social purpose for the students and employees of Franklin University.”
