Community College Regional Manager Appointed

Columbus, OH — 

Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults, announced it has appointed Tambra Johnson as the Community College Regional Manager (CCRM) of its Indianapolis location.  Johnson most recently served as Online Admissions Representative/Enrollment Specialist for Harrison College in Indianapolis.

“The role of a Community College Regional Manager requires an individual who can successfully build a trustful rapport with students,” said Marnie Glanner, Executive Director of Franklin University’s Indianapolis location.  “Tambra has a strong background in providing outstanding customer service and understands the unique needs of today’s adult students.”

Johnson’s position continues the strong relationship Franklin University holds with Ivy Tech Community College and helps provides the opportunity for students to achieve their education goals.  As CCRM, Johnson will act as a liaison between Franklin University and Ivy Tech students, providing guidance on the University’s numerous academic offerings and student-centered assistance.

In accepting her position, Johnson said, “I have a strong commitment to expanding educational opportunities for working adults and am dedicated to connecting Franklin with students from Ivy Tech.  I am excited by the opportunity to be part of a University so dedicated to supporting adults on their journey to achieving their academic and career goals.” 

Since 2005, Johnson served in a variety of roles, most recently as Online Admissions Representative and Enrollment Specialist for Harrison College. Her background in customer relations management includes positions with International Business College, Centene Corporation, and Pfizer, Inc.  An active member of the community, Johnson volunteers her time with Indy Reads – Adult Literacy, Kids Against Hunger, was a guest lecturer on HIV/AIDS research at Indiana University and on the Pharmaceutical Industry at Indiana Wesylan University.

Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Criminal Justice from Ball State University, where she earned the Ball State University Distinguished Service Award and was a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society.  In addition, Johnson took classes in general science from the Ivy Tech Community College to increase her background in science.

Since its expansion into Indianapolis, Franklin University has had a strong involvement with Indiana’s adult students. The University engages constituencies not only to provide services, but also to incorporate them into the University’s planning process and to build solid relationships that benefit the University, its students, and the community at large.
