Dr. Godfrey Mendes Joins Franklin University as
Dean of Global Programs

 

Columbus, Ohio - Franklin University, a leading educator of working adults in central Ohio, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Godfrey Mendes as Dean of Global Programs.  The newly created position is an integral part of Franklin's recent reorganization that will allow for the growth necessary to support Franklin's future objectives.  Dr. Mendes' distinguished professional and academic history will bring a wealth of international experience and depth to Franklin as the University continues the implementation of its global growth strategy.

In this new role, Dr. Mendes will work closely with Klaus Haberich, Franklin's Senior Vice President for Planning and Global Programs, in identifying potential global expansion targets as well as overseeing the implementation process.

"I am honored to be involved in the initial stages of Franklin's global growth strategy," said Dr. Mendes.  "This is an exciting time for the University as we provide educational opportunities to students around the world."

After beginning his career in higher education at Warner Southern College as assistant registrar, faculty member, and academic advisor, Dr. Mendes served as director of undergraduate programs at Argosy University, overseeing all undergraduate programs for the university's two campuses.  Most recently he served in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, as advisor to the Scholarship Coordination Office of H.H. the President of U.A.E. and as the dean of students and assistant campus dean at the New York Institute of Technology - Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Mendes holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Organizational Management from Capella University, a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, a MBA in Finance from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Warner Southern College.
