FRANKLIN UNIVERSITY
RECEIVES INAUGURAL EXEMPLAR OF INTEGRITY AWARD

Columbus, Ohio - Franklin University is proud to announce it has received the first Exemplar of Integrity award by the Center for Academic Integrity. The award, presented to Franklin University's Assistant Provost for Academic Services Wayne Miller during an awards ceremony held at the October international conference in St. Louis, recognizes a campus-wide (or larger) effort to promote and maintain the values of academic integrity.

Franklin was among a number of prestigious colleges and universities being considered as an inaugural award recipient. Nominations from institutions across the world were reviewed to determine which made the most extraordinary contribution to the field by upholding scholarly standards and improving the quality of education on a large scale.

The Academic Integrity Team at Franklin is led by the University's Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Associate Provost for Academic Quality. Members of the team are responsible for coordinating and upholding the standards of academic integrity, which include the awareness and enforcement of academic dishonestly violations.

"Franklin is dedicated to preserving and enforcing academic integrity in both our face-to-face and online learning environments," said Dr. Pam Shay, Associate Provost for Academic Quality. "We are proud to be considered among such an elite group of colleges and universities."

The Center for Academic Integrity (CAI) is affiliated with the Robert J. Rutland Institute for Ethics at Clemson University and is a consortium of over 360 institutions who share with peers and colleagues the Center's collective experience, expertise, and creative energy.
