Klaus Haberich Joins Franklin University
as Senior Vice President for Planning and Global Programs |

Columbus, Ohio – Franklin University, a leading educator of working adults in central Ohio, is pleased to announce the appointment of Klaus Haberich as Senior Vice President for Planning and Global Programs. The newly created position is an integral part of the University’s recent reorganization that will allow for the growth necessary to support Franklin’s future objectives. Haberich’s distinguished professional and academic history will bring a wealth of international experience and added depth to Franklin as the University sets forth a strategy for global growth. Haberich has served in a number of positions prior to joining Franklin University, most recently serving at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates as the Dean of the New York Institute of Technology’s (NYIT) UAE Campus. He has also served as Acting Dean of Academic Affairs at NYIT’s Bahrain Campus, teaching international business and strategic management. After five years at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Haberich taught at the London Business School, INSEAD in France, as well as in Germany and Japan. He subsequently spent some twenty years in venture capital and investment banking and served in leading positions at Peregrine Capital in Hong Kong and Munich, BNP Paribas in Paris and UBS in Frankfurt, before returning to the academic world. Klaus Haberich holds a master of business degree from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelor of arts in Economics degree from Universite de Geneve in Switzerland. He and his wife, Patricia, have two sons.
