Polish Delegation to Attend International Innovations in Education Forum

Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults, is pleased to announce the Feb. 13 visit of academic officials from TEB Akademia (TEB) in Poland for the International Innovations in Education Forum.  The week-long program sponsored by Franklin University focuses on the exchange of ideas surrounding curriculum design, teaching effectiveness, and student services in higher education.

During their visit, the delegation will review and evaluate several education delivery models and redesign an academic program and course, employing an outcomes-based approach and Wroclaw School of Banking (WSB) standards of academic excellence.

The International Innovations in Education Forum was specifically designed for Franklin’s partners from TEB to be actively engaged in curriculum design and development with the goal of returning to Poland with the tools to redesign their courses. Two directors from TEB, four deans from WSB institutions in Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdynia and Chorzow, the Chancellor from WSB Gdansk, and the Head of Part-Time Programs in WSB, Torun, will not only be engaged in curriculum design, but will also be attending a Franklin class, observing an academic advisory board in action, participating in the University's Resume Writing Workshop and University Assembly. While their main focus is grounded in curriculum design the schedule provides opportunities to learn about Franklin’s student support systems and Learning Management System.
