Franklin University and SCORE
Form Alliance to Assist Local Small Businesses

Columbus, Ohio - Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults, is pleased to announce its new alliance with the central Ohio chapter of SCORE, central Ohio's leading nonprofit association for business counseling through the combining of expertise aimed at creating new opportunities for Columbus-area entrepreneurs.

Through this free program, Franklin- and SCORE-staffed advisory boards, consisting of members from a broad range of business backgrounds and a variety of professions, such as accounting, marketing, human resources, and technology, will help both small- and medium-sized businesses sharpen business skills, increase business networking, and provide a sense of accomplishment. Through monthly meetings, advisory board members will review business processes and help plan future strategies.

"As a student-focused university, we are pleased to partner with an organization such as SCORE that provides opportunity for growth and professional development," said Franklin President Dr. David R. Decker.  "Sharing expertise that will revitalize and stimulate business is vital if our economy is to regain a position of dominance."

Since 1902, Franklin University has been a pioneer in meeting the needs of adult students who have the ambition to continue their education in combination with other responsibilities.  Partnering with SCORE allows the University to continue its dedication to providing opportunities by serving the central Ohio community through entrepreneurial education dedicated to the formation, growth, and success of small business.
