Holds Career and Tech Center Signing Event

 

(Columbus, Ohio) - Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults in central Ohio, will hold a signing ceremony today, Thursday, Jan. 29 to officially commemorate the signing of transfer agreements with 25 of Ohio's career and technical centers. Dr. David Decker, President, Franklin University, will address the various center representatives, expressing his appreciation to all those centers who have signed for the opportunity they provide Ohio's students.

Franklin's agreements with these career and technical centers provide new opportunities for adults who have already attained some college credits but who have found that the pressures of work and family responsibilities make it difficult to complete their bachelor level education.  Career and technical centers play a vital role toward assisting today's adult learners pursue a new career, bounce back from a layoff, upgrade job skills or simply take a class for fun.  

Through these agreements with Franklin University, career and technical center students now have the option of transferring up to 24 hours of their credits in programs such as Auto Mechanics, HVAC and Industrial Maintenance to Franklin University's Applied Management major; practical nursing and medical assisting to Franklin's Healthcare Management; or EMT and Firefighting to Franklin's Public Safety Management major. Credits can also be transferred to Franklin toward bachelor's degree in majors such as: Accounting, Applied Management, Business Administration, Business Forensics, Computer Science, eMarketing, Financial Management, Forensic Accounting, Healthcare Management, Human Resources Management, Information Technology, Management, Management Information Sciences, Marketing, Public Safety Management, and Web Development.

At Franklin, online students enjoy a number of resources.  Resources such as academic advising, a help desk, a library system, and state-of-the-art technology provide Franklin's online students with an on campus experience. Each student also is assigned a Student Services Associate who provides support and guidance by answering questions about transcripts, financial aid or even how to purchase textbooks.
