Adjunct Faculty-Mathematics for Computing

Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach a graduate level Mathematics for Computing course.  This 12-week course will be taught face-to-face at our downtown Columbus, Ohio campus beginning on February 15, 2023 and online beginning February 13, 2023. 

This course introduces students to fundamental algebraic, logical, and combinational concepts in mathematics that are needed in upper division computer science courses.  Topics include integer representation; algorithms; modular arithmetic and exponentiation; discrete logarithms; cryptography; recursion; primality testing; number theory; graphs and directed graphs; trees; and Boolean Algebra.

Requirements for this position include a doctorate degree in Mathematics or Statistics or in a closely related area.  If the degree is in a related area, the candidate should have at least 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or Statistics.  Expertise in the course content area and previous teaching experience is highly desirable.
