Administrative Assistant to the VP, Academic Quality & Planning and Dean, School of Education
Franklin University has an opening for an Administrative Assistant supporting the VP of Academic Planning and Quality & Dean, School of Education. The Administrative Assistant for the Vice President and Dean is responsible for managing, organizing, scheduling and maintaining the administrative functions for the Vice President and Dean. This includes skillfully preparing reports, drafting correspondence, storing, retrieving and integrating information for dissemination, conducting small research projects, managing the VP’s calendar, scheduling meetings, event planning, and managing the coordination, tracking, and reconciliation of all budgets under the purview of VP and Dean. In addition, the Administrative Assistant regularly greets and hosts guests as an ambassador for the International Institute for Innovative Instruction (i4).
We seek someone with highly developed relationship building skills who is extremely organized and has 3-5 years of previous experience as an Administrative Assistant to serve in this key role. A Bachelor's degree is required and prior experience in higher education is strongly preferred. The selected individual will be team-oriented, have a strong customer-centered philosophy, excellent oral and written communication skills and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. The position also requires someone with strong attention to detail who can work with minimal supervision, is able to maintain confidentiality and can create and analyze reports and data.
