Administrative Assistant to the VP, International Institute for Innovative Instruction (I4) and Global Operations
Franklin University has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to the VP, International Institute for Innovative Instruction (I4) and Global Operations. The Administrative Assistant will support the VP by managing, organizing, scheduling and maintaining administrative functions including calendar management, scheduling meetings with individuals both inside and outside the University, crafting agendas, preparing meeting minutes, managing the VP's email, arranging travel, event planning including logistics and refreshments, preparation of departmental reports and other duties as assigned by the VP. The position requires someone who can, over time, come to anticipate the VP's needs and must always maintain information in strictest confidence. He/she must possess an understanding of global business operations and prep the Vice President by conducting research on different cultures and customs.
We seek someone with highly developed relationship building skills who is extremely organized and has 3-5 years of previous experience as an Administrative Assistant to serve in this key role. A Bachelor's degree is required and prior experience in higher education is strongly preferred. The selected individual will be team-oriented, have a strong customer service orientation, and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. The position also requires someone with strong attention to detail who can work with minimal supervision and is available to work hours outside of normal business hours as needed. The ideal candidate will have the ability to anticipate client needs and host executives and officials from other countries.
